Here with a big ol’ update for your favorite game: Iron Vice! This new release comes with a flurry of improvements and additions that affect everything from the tiniest balancing detail to the over-arching design tenets of the game! Read on to discover the illustrious list of alterations that come with Iron Vice: Ver. 1.1.0!

Features/Balancing

  • Doomsday timer update: No longer kills. Charges resources instead.
  • Added Matchmaking Functionality
  • Added a “Handicap” system: High-level players can match with low-level players via handicap
  • Added a City specific Quick Match function
  • Added a “Find Contract” function, allowing players to search contracts by name.
  • Added five new gear sets
  • Added Gear Chest and Steel Chest to store
  • Added Mercenary Starter Kit to store
  • Updated tutorials to reflect multiplayer matchmaking changes
  • Game tips now shown on main title screen
  • Improved “Skills” tab functionality
  • Rebalanced enemy health values
  • Rebalanced attack rate of “Tweaker” enemy type
  • Rebalanced XP rates
  • Various map fixes

Bug/Performance Enhancements

Here we are on the cusp of launching with Beta build 1.0.0! Now, dear reader, I know what you must be thinking: “Doesn’t 1.0 mean the game should be released?” No. No it does not. Not in the world of Black Tower, anyways. In order to fully launch the game, clearance is still need on behalf of Kongregate so, in the meantime, we shall suffice with this final Beta build which contains the following features and fixes:

BETA CHARACTERS HAD TO BE RESET IN THIS VERSION

We’ve added the financial world set that you’ll encounter in City 3 and onward. A new mission type (Assassination) has been added as well as a special Core contract mission (Overlord). Our European users will now enjoy better pings and less lag with servers closer to them. We also made many bug fixes and small improvements. Extra special thanks to the community of beta testers on Kong+.
